  • New Teacher Hire Orientation

    No time to complete the New Hire Orientation?  Let us train your new Early Childhood Professionals!  Our orientation includes 8 hours of approved credit in the following topics: 

    - Attendance/Tardiness/Absenteeism
    - Ratios & Proper Supervision
    - Recognizing & Reporting the Signs & Symptoms of Abuse & Neglect
    - Maintaining a Safe & Healthy Environment
    - Review of Licensing/Sanitation Rules & Regulations
    - Roles & Responsibilities of Governing Agencies
    - Overview of the Enhanced Requirements & Star Rated License
    - Professionalism and Work Ethic

  • Rating Scale Preparation

    Are you beginning the process of becoming a licensed center or improving your star rating?  If so, we would like to help make this a smooth transition!  Our goal is to help your staff understand the environmental rating scales and how to apply these scales in each classroom.    Let us come into your classroom/program to access what positive things you already have in place and what needs you will have to improve your star rating. 

    Short-Term Program: 

    4.0 hours of training to prepare for the rating scale process.    Both the ITERS-R and the ECERS-R scales will be discussed thoroughly, participants will have video practice and classroom practice to implement what they have learned.   
    Assessments will be performed by the instructor for ALL classrooms to see what positive things you already have in place and what items will need to be improved.  The instructor will give a scale summary report for each classroom. 

    Long-Term Program:

    4.0 hours of training to prepare for the rating scale process.    Both the ITERS-R and the ECERS-R scales will be discussed thoroughly, participants will have video practice and classroom practice to implement what they have learned.  

    The ECERS-R and the ITERS-R assessments of each classroom will be repeated at the end of this program to analyze improvements and growth.

    Assessments will be performed by the instructor for ALL classrooms to see what positive things you already have in place and what items will need to be improved.  The instructor will give a scale summary report for each classroom. 

    On-site classroom assistance will be offered monthly.  During this time, the instructor will help the teachers come up with strategies to improve areas in the classroom.  Training hours will be issued for on-site consultation. 



  • On-site Classroom Consultation

    Do you have great teachers that just need a little help?   This service is developed around your individual classrooms, teachers & needs.   In addition, this program offers guidance in the following topics:  positive guidance, effective communication, smooth transitions, classroom environment design, proper supervision, and the importance of teacher to child interaction and child to child interaction.  

    We can also develop additional topics as needed.  What is the great thing about this consultation?   Your staff will receive credit hours from the Division of Child Development!



  • Licensing Visits

    Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the continuously changing rules of the Division of Child Development?   If so, we are here to help!  Have you ever thought of having a third party come to assess your program before inspection?   Register today with TLC Educational Consulting for your licensing check!  It can be one visit or multiple visits to help your staff  prepare.  It is great practice for your teachers to have someone offer instructional feedback! 

    Licensing Check Fee: $150.00
